Someone wise I know once placed an idea in front of me.
That in moments of pain, what we are doing is strengthening ourselves. That we are increasing our capacity, so that when the good that is coming to us arrives, we have the ability to hold it.
I loved this idea. I thought about it. And of course, I forgot all about it.
How does that happen? That something we think is important gets swept up in everyday life along with the cheerios on the floor and forgotten about behind the dusty couch?
